About Us

The split-level Argo, Brick Inn was built in 1926 by a high school Industrial Arts Teacher, Hugh Gregg. Throughout the house you'll find patterned oak floors and arches. We hope you find the craftsmanship of its time as enjoyable as we do. You will not only want to snuggle underneath our handmade quilts made by the innkeeper, but you will also enjoy the handmade decorations.
"The White House Guesthouse" is a bungalow that can be your escape. We can make it conducive for romance or a great place for family or groups to stretch out & feel at home.
Relax in our gazebo while quenching your thirst with a glass of lemonade or Mint Juleps. It is walking distance to the park and to main street to do shopping.
The rolling grass prairie is ideal for hunting of quail, pheasant, deer & turkey. At this time, the county has 16,950 acres of walk-in hunting. A dog kennel is available for your hunting dogs.
Greensburg is located on one of the busiest highways in Kansas. If you are traveling across the United States, you'll probably come thru some part of Kansas. Especially the snowbirds heading south for the winter. Check us out! You'll enjoy a cozy stay with your appetite fulfilled on a great breakfast. The inn is positioned three blocks from the freeway. A garage is there for motorcycles to park overnight.
The Green Acres Bed and Breakfast is a member of the Kansas Bed and Breakfast Association and the Greensburg Chamber of Commerce. We are located halfway between Libreral and Wichita on Hwy 54 or halfway point between Kansas City and Taos, New Mexico. We are positioned in the "Heartland of America".
The small town was established by Cannonball Green in 1884 who was a stage coach driver. Today, you can see the past history of the area by walking across the street to see the world's largest hand-dug well. It was built to supply water for the Santa Fe steam locomotives in 1887.
In 1949, H. O. Stockwell found a large meteorite 63 inches below the soil weighing 1,000 lbs. He donated the find to the Big Well Tourism Stop. At the time, they thought it was the world's largest. On October 2005, Steve Arnold discovered a 1400 lb. space rock seven ft. below the earth. Using a metal detector mounted on a three-wheel vehicle, he dug up a oriented pallasite. It has a conical shape & olivine crystals embedded in iron-nickel alloy. Only two others have been found in Australia & Argentina. Come & investigate our space wanderer!
The small town atmosphere will make your stay a delight.
